Passenger flow will grow by 15% by occupancy factor at the airports of Arequipa, Ayacucho, Puerto Maldonado and Tacna, due to the increase in tourists during Easter.

Aeropuertos Andinos del Perú (AAP) reported that the airports of Arequipa, Ayacucho, Puerto Maldonado and Tacna will receive 95 thousand passengers from April 1 to 10, a period in which many visitors arrive in these regions for the long Easter holiday, an increase of 15% in the usual flow of passengers per week.

"We will reach an overall growth of 18% if we compare the number of visitors from this period with the one during 2022, which reflects the recovery of domestic tourist confidence to visit the southern regions, and also the optimal operation of our airports that have the capacity to handle the increase in flows in key periods for tourism," said Carlos Antonioli, Operations Manager of AAP.

It should be noted that the Arequipa airport leads the list of preference for visitors with fifty-eight thousand, followed by Tacna with fifteen thousand, Ayacucho with twelve thousand, and Puerto Maldonado with eleven thousand.

"Aeropuertos Andinos del Perú works permanently to offer a high quality airport service that allows the increase of the flow of visitors to the regions, promoting tourism and other related economic activities that allow the development of the southern regions. With safety being a priority in all of our operations, taking care of our passengers and the entire airport community," said Carlos Antonioli.
