More than 100 artisans from the Lake Titicaca Islands in Puno will present the best of their culture from December 1st to 8th at the Inca Manco Capac Airport in Juliaca.
Aeropuertos Andinos del Perú (AAP) inaugurated the ninth edition of the Unko Fair at the Inca Manco Capac Airport in Juliacam, which from December 1st to 8th will present the best of the culture of 100 artisans from the Uros Islands of Lake Titicaca, in 11 rotating exhibition modules inside the air terminal where tourists and national and foreign visitors pass daily.
"Our goal in the regions in which we operate is to promote local culture and art as part of our mission as a company, for which we have made available the spaces at AAP airports as a platform for the exhibition of regional culture," said Raúl Díaz Díaz, General Manager of Aeropuertos Andinos del Perú.
"In Juliaca, and throughout the Puno region, we have commitments made at the Work Table to promote tourism in the Puno Region. The Unko Fair is part of those commitments and for this we have worked in coordination with the Chamber of Commerce of Puno and its members, the Regional Directorate of Tourism, Promperú Puno, the airlines Sky Airlines, and JetSmart, institutions that are part of this working group," said Raúl Díaz.
The ninth edition of the Unko Fair is held for the first time in Juliaca and provided 11 rotating exhibition modules within the air terminal for artisans where tourists and foreign and domestic visitors pass daily.
It should be noted that the Juliaca Airport is the second airport with the highest growth in passenger flow after Arequipa, during the month of November it received 45,584 and carried out 361 operations with 7 daily flights on the Juliaca - Lima route.
