Travel with Minors

If you are planning a trip with minors, know when a notarized authorization is needed.
For unaccompanied minor travel, please check the requirements with your airline.

Notarial authorization

It is a notarized document by which the parents authorize the travel of their minor child inside or outside Peruvian territory. For more information, visit the website www.gob.pe or the office of the Juvenile Judge.

The document must have the signature of the notary and also:

Domestic flights

  • If the minor is traveling with a parent, they do not need authorization.
  • If the minor is traveling alone, they require the signature of one of their parents.

International Flights

  • If the minor is traveling alone or with a third party, it requires the signature of both parents.
  • If the minor is traveling with a parent, the signature of the non-accompanying parent.
